I like the sound of electricity and electronics. There is something about that pulsating beat that makes me feel good, not that live instruments aren’t fine but this really gives me energy.
I work with mainly with Reason which I use for both track assembly, mixdown and mastering. I prefer to mix using high-end headphones, which can cause problems when blasted through speakers.
My approach to music is to either go for the melodic line, if there is one, or feel. The BK Burgher series are all feel and could easily be overdubbed with rap or whatever. Tracks like Starstrike 2 and Gul Dukat do not leave much space for that.
I’m not emotionally attached to my work, so if you’d like to remix, remaster or rearrange the tracks, I have no problem with that.
